Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino wasn’t impressed with the State of the State address.
The Republican executive said he will decide within 60 days whether he will challenge Cuomo, who is seeking re-election in the fall.
Astorino wasn’t in Albany for the speech, but he was here yesterday to do some media interviews and knock Cuomo.
“Governor Cuomo’s speech raised more questions than it offered answers,” Astorino said in a statement. “It was a laundry-list of proposals that lacked both funding and detail. Under Andrew Cuomo, New York has the highest taxes in the nation, the most debt and corruption, and the worst business climate. More people are leaving New York than any other state. I heard nothing of substance today that would reverse that course.”
