Here’s two videos we shot to go with the 10th installment of our “Rebuilding New York’s Economy” series, which looked whether New York is getting its bang for the buck with its film-tax-credit program.
Here’s the article.
The first video is of Kenneth Adams, the head of the Empire State Development Corp., the state’s economic development arm. He touts the benefits of the $420 million a year program as a positive job creator.
And the second video is of E.J. McMahon, the president of the Empire Center for New York Policy, who opposes the tax breaks as nothing more than a taxpayer-funded giveaway.
