Talk about trying to climb the government ladder.
New York, through its eBay store, is selling an old rock-climbing wall once used by the New York National Guard.
The wall is the latest addition to the state’s inventory for sale. Last year, the state sold about $1 million of excess items.
The state told the Daily News that it had already sold two other climbing walls. This one was used as part of an anti-drug outreach program.
“The focus now is to work with community groups rather than to go into schools or kids’ events,” Eric Durr, a spokesman for the state’s Division of Military and Naval Affairs, told the paper. “That’s why we no longer need the climbing walls.”
It’s another five days or so to bid.
