The head of the Senate’s Elections Committee is raising money for his own re-election.
Corning vice president Kirk Gregg, who heads the company’s government relations, and Chemung County Executive Thomas Santulli are hosting a fundraiser next week for Sen. Thomas O’Mara, R-Big Flats, Chemung County.
O’Mara has one of the safest Republican districts in the state, even though it includes the liberal bastion of Ithaca. He had $183,680 in his campaign account as of July.
Tickets for the event at the Corning Country Club range from $150 to $1,000 for sponsorship.
