Sen. Greg Ball, R-Patterson, Putnam County, told gun-rights supporters Thursday he wasn’t sure how long he’d remain a politician.
Ball spoke to thousands gathered outside the state Capitol for a rally opposing the so-called NY SAFE Act. He’s been a primary opponent of the law and supporter of Second Amendment rights.
“This is a tough, disgusting nasty business,” he said, “and I don’t know long I’m going to be in politics.
“But as long as I am in politics, I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you,” he continued. “And I will fight with you till hell freezes over—and I will fight with you on the ice.”
