Senate Republican Leader Dean Skelos, R-Nassau County, outlined his conference’s agenda for the 2013 legislative session, which officially kicked off today ahead of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State address.
In a new video, Skelos emphasized a fiscal policy that cuts spending and does not increase taxes, which calling for tougher penalties on illegal gun possession with a goal of “safer homes, safer schools and safer neighborhoods.”
He also pushes a plan to respond to the Christmas Eve shooting of firefighters in Webster, Monroe County: “Life in prison without parole for anyone who kills a first responder.”
