Gov. Andrew Cuomo will honor the victims of the Christmas Eve shootings in Webster, Monroe County, during his State of the State address.

He is expected call the families of the two victims to the podium and honor them by giving them American flags.

Michael Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka were two Webster volunteer firefighters who were killed in a Christmas Eve ambush on Lake Road.

The shooting by William Spengler, who then killed himself, drew national attention and came just weeks after the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

A major part of the governor’s speech will be about gun control.

The speech will start at about 1:30 p.m.
