Despite his Republican opponent claiming victory, Croton-on-Hudson Democrat Justin Wagner’s campaign has declined to concede as Westchester County continues to count votes.
Wagner, an attorney facing a 3,949-vote deficit, is challenging incumbent Sen. Greg Ball, R-Patterson, Putnam County. His campaign was holding out hope that the 30 remaining election districts would break his way, saying they are in largely Democratic areas of Westchester.
Ball claimed victory late Tuesday, citing his lead.
Here’s what Steve Napier, Wagner’s campaign manager, had to say in a statement early Wednesday:
“The race is too close to call. While all of the traditionally high-performing Republican areas have been fully counted, results in much of the traditionally Democratic areas of Westchester County have yet to be reported. We will pursue a full and fair count of all ballots, and we are confident that in the end Justin Wagner will be seated in the New York State Senate.”

Wow this guy is crazy he lost fair and square. Nan Hayworth conceded defeat with the same numbers Justin Wagner had.
In response to what Sugar had to say, he’s not a quitter, like nan (tea party) is. I respect him immensely.
90% of the vote is in Wagner is down by 4,000 votes and 4 percentage points he lost fair and square.
All the votes are not counted. As soon as it is, he will have to admit it. Not until then
After all, its the democratic areas that have yet to be counted
@Sugar. If Democratic precincts are outstanding, that a trailing Republican has no reason to believe she will make up ground. A trailing Democrat does. Republicans: Failing Logic Till the Bitter End
Don’t concede all the votes aren’t counted.we need somebody in there that isn’t about drama and self promotion.mr.ball should get the psychiatric help he needs!
