Sen. Greg Ball can mix it up during his usually contentious campaigns, but his first ad of this year’s re-election bid was positive.
The Republican from Patterson, Putnam County, touts how he “partnered with Governor Cuomo to close a $13 billion deficit by cutting spending” and how the state capped property taxes and cut the MTA payroll tax on businesses (it still exists for some larger businesses).
Ball hits back often against his political foes. He regularly unleashes someone in a chicken suit to stand outside his opponents’ events. He called Assemblyman Steve Katz, who considered a primary run against Ball, “Dr. Do-Liberal” and he labeled his current Democratic foe, Justin Wagner as “Wacky Wagner.”
But his first ad is all positive and ends with: “State Senator Greg Ball, always working for Westchester.”
