The events are part of the push going on today at Occupy Wall Street.
The groups in Albany are having a rally at noon at Academy Park.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, meanwhile, is speaking this morning to the state Democratic Committee, which may vote to support the continuance of the higher income taxes on the wealthy as well as express their opposition to hydraulic fracturing in the state.
But Liz Benjamin is reporting this morning that Cuomo forces are pushing back on the resolutions at the committee meeting and may be shelved.
The Democrats’ move comes as a state Department of Environmental Conservation hearing is being held in Binghamton starting at 1 p.m. today on the state’s draft regulations to permit hydrofracking in the state.
