The Albany Business Review reported on the details this afternoon, and the details were quietly posted on the state’s website. There’s been no official announcement yet of Clinton’s visit, but he’s scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Sept. 27 event at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
While there has been no official announcement, the website says that people have until tomorrow to enter a lottery to attend. The signup is here.
Updated: Cuomo spokesman Josh Vlasto said the registration period will be extended past tomorrow.
Clinton is Cuomo’s ex-boss. The Democratic governor was Clinton’s commissioner at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the regional councils are based on a similar program that Cuomo set up there—where areas compete for pots of economic development money.
Cuomo spokesman Josh Vlasto said there would be an announcement soon on the full agenda for the event.
