U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, who is giving the keynote address at the New York State Public Transit Industry conference in Albany today started off her speech by saying she wasn’t going to talk about the possibility of her becoming President Barack Obama’s secretary of state. The information was reported yesterday, with inside sources quoted.
This is what she said at the top of her speech (from Joseph Spector of Gannett News Service, who is in attendance):
“I am not going to speculate or address anything about the president-elect’s incoming administration.
“And I’m going to respect his process, and any inquiries should be directed to his transition team.”
