Robach Picks Up Endorsements, Dollinger Claims Voter Intimidation

October

Sen. Joseph Robach, R-Greece, picked up a few endorsements Thursday: the National Federation of Independent Business, and members of the New York State Troopers, the Rochester Police Department, the Greece Police Department and other local law enforcement organizations.

Assemblyman Bill Reilich, R-Greece, also picked up the NFIB endorsement.

“As a state senator, Joe Robach has been a steadfast ally and solid vote for small business,” said NFIB state director Mike Elmendorf. “Senator Robach will continue to fight to cut taxes, rein in government spending, and improve our economic competitiveness. He will stand up for entrepreneurs and free-enterprise. Senator Joe Robach is the right choice for small business.”

Robach’s Democratic opponent Rick Dollinger, meanwhile, is suggesting that Dollinger supporters are being intimidated because lawn signs are being stolen and vandalized.

Robach also made this vandalism claim recently.

The campaign went on to say it’s part of a national voter intimidation strategy by Republicans:

“Unfortunately, it comes as no surprise that the same State Senate majority that has left New York with the worst economy since the Great Depression would devise a cynical ploy to victimize voters in the coming elections. Nationally voter suppression ploys are being uncovered in Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida as Republican deceive voters about election days and polling locations, among other items.”
