Maggie Brooks For Kuhl

October
13

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks is stumping for Rep. Randy Kuhl, R-Hammondsport, Steuben County, in his latest television spot today, and she tries to dispel the attacks made by Democratic candidate Eric Massa.

Kuhl can use all the support in Monroe County he can get: He has been beaten badly in the county in his first two runs for Congress, yet has overcome it by strong support in his home Southern Tier. And recent polls have shown Kuhl trailing Massa throughout the district.

Kuhl has been a supporter of Renaissance Square, Brooks’ hallmark project, and has been able to bring home money for it as a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

(Apparently one candidate for Congress in Monroe County doesn’t even know what Renaissance Square is, despite it being the largest public construction project in Rochester’s history.)

Here’s Brooks’ script:

“There are always a lot of accusations flying during political campaigns. It’s hard to know the truth. Here’s what you really need to know about Randy Kuhl.
I’ve worked closely with Randy and can tell you he is a man of principle who represents Western New York values.
He constantly strives to cut taxes, make our economy stronger, and Randy always puts our community above all else.
And that’s the truth about Randy Kuhl.”
