Clinton Raising $8M And More For Obama

October
6

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said she’s “using every tool” she has to help Barack Obama win in November, and has raised more than $8 million for him, USA Today is reporting.

“I am using every tool that I have to help Democrats win,” Clinton told USA TODAY.

Both Obama and Clinton camps noted the story today.

Meanwhile, McCain’s campaign released an ad this morning that suggests Obama is “dangerous” and uses a quote where Obama says troops in Afghanistan are ”… just air-raiding villages and killing civilians.”

The ad continues, “How dishonorable. Congressional liberals voted repeatedly to cut off funding to our active troops. Increasing the risk on their lives. How dangerous. Obama and Congressional liberals. Too risky for America.”

In fact, McCain and Obama voted against bills that included funding for troops: McCain when it was tied to a timetable, and Obama when it was not.

And Obama’s campaign pointed out his full quote in 2007 was: “We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there.”

Here’s the video of that, then McCain’s ad.
