Ny Conservatives like GOP VP pick

  New Yorkers will not be shocked to learn that the state Conservative Party isn’t worried about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s lack of foreign-policy experience.

“Sen. McCain chose a woman who has shown reform can be achieved in government and has proven so by slashing pork-barrel spending,’’ said state Conservative Party Chairman Michael Long about the GOP pick for the vice presidential nomination.

Palin, 44, elected governor in 2006, “has a proven record conservatives can be proud of,’’ Long said.
