Gillibrand’s Energy Policy Targeted By Conservative Group

July
17

gillibrand.jpgThe conservative group Freedom’s Watch this week began automated phone calls in the 20th District against Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-Hudson, Columbia County, saying she opposes President Bush’s plan to lift a ban on offshore drilling and criticizes Congress for not acting on the plan.

Here’s the robo ad:

Hello, I’m calling from Freedom’s Watch with an important message on gas prices…Earlier this week, the President lifted a nearly 20-year ban on offshore drilling. And now the only thing standing between us and billions of barrels of American oil are Democrats in Congress. In the short time she’s been in Congress, Kirsten Gillibrand opposed efforts to increase domestic production 12 times. That’s right, Kirsten Gillibrand sided with Nancy Pelosi and liberals in Congress instead of us 12 times. Call Kirsten Gillibrand at 518-581-8247. Tell her to stop standing between the American people and American oil. Paid for by Freedom’s Watch, 202-379-3742
