Gov. David Paterson is joining Sen. Barack Obama at an economic roundtable with Democratic governors in Chicago.
At the mee
ting, Obama and the governors will discuss working together to reverse the effect of “eight years of the Bush economy on state budgets and looking beyond conventional Washington thinking to develop innovative solutions to the economic challenges the American people are facing every day,” according to the news release put out by the state Democratic Party.
Paterson supported Hillary Clinton during the presidential primary, but as had complimentary things to say about Obama. When Paterson took over for Gov. Spitzer, Obama called Paterson, the state’s first African-American governor, to wish him well.
