Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, who heads the Assembly Real Property Committee, is
hosting Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi tonight to discuss his commission’s property-tax-cap report.
The public event is from 7-9 p.m. at the Putnam Valley High School Auditorium, 146 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley.
Suozzi and Gov. David Paterson have been touring the state in trying to seek support for a tax cap after Suozzi’s commission, the commission on Property Tax Relief, released its preliminary recommendations June 3 that recommends a cap, a circuit breaker and mandate relief.
