Who dropped the ball on cutting off New York City and letting downstate become its own state and independent of our money?? Whenever I travel I find myself apologizing for being from New York because the rudest people in the world reside in New York City and they leave quite an impression. New York City is a costly embarassment to upstaters, who still have manners and ethics...I'd rather get a flat tire in upstate New York than just about anywhere else I've ever been..the people there are still kind.
