Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has supported Sen. Clinton for president, but his communications director, Jeffrey Lerner, resigned today to become national political field director for Change to Win, a group of unions supporting Barack Obama.

Lerner will coordinate the group’s mobilization efforts heading into the presidential election.

“We are excited that someone with Jeffrey Lerner’s experience and passion has come on board to help expand workers’ voices on the issues that matter most in this election,” said Change to Win Chair Anna Burger in a news release.

Cuomo has not named a new communications director.
